Very inspiring words from both you, Sarah, and Stef! The lows can bring us to greater highs through the thoughtful process we find ourselves in at those times. We can only go upward from those lows if we let ourselves, which I think most of us do. Stef, I really appreciate your creative sense in relating your tree characters to different childhood challenges. Brilliant! Love working with both of you in the Sprints!

Writing my characters out of their jams is a big challenge for me. I want to do it too quickly because conflict doesn't feel good. I'm still learning.

Love this post -- thanks, Stef, for the encouragement. It is a lovely reminder. Congratulations to you, Sarah, on the deal. And looking forward to celebrating Stef, Barbara, and Sandra's book releases! Loving the good news!!

As you all may already know, Stef Wade's books touch our hearts no matter where she takes us. Whether it’s to the woods with THE VERY LAST LEAF and THE VERY EAGER EVERGREEN and soon to be released THE FUN GUY, to outer space with A PLACE FOR PLUTO and MOVING TO MARS, or to our classroom carpets in Q&U CALL IT QUITS and EVERYDAY'S A HOLIDAY, we love the ride.

Congratulations, my friend! Here's to you and Doug Fir! I'm sure there's more to come.

Oh yes, the hills and valleys. Together they make a breath-taking landscape-and that is the process of writing. It’s about the journey. Thanks for the reminder!

I forget that those very low moments ALSO inspire deep thoughts...and beauty. We have to be present in our process!

Yes, hills and valleys but I’m feeling the need to comment on how much I love the idea of your new book because I am a big fan of epistolary PB 🤔 actually even epistolary for any age group! Congratulations!

Thank you! This is my first time writing epistolary (it's a little mixture of both) and I loved it! Pen pals are always fun :)
